Wilfred Zaha has finally come out to deny claims he slept with David Moyes' daughter during his spell at Man United.

The current Crystal Palace star was impressive during United's pre-season in 2013 before leaving Old Trafford for Selhurst Park.

The Ivorian international was not happy with the lack of support from the Red Devils after the rumours about his affair with Moye' daughter broke out.

Zaha was dropped from United's squad by the Scottish manager in the summer of 2013 due to the rumours about his personal life that surfaced online.

"No one at the club at all told me anything, I didn't know what to do whatsoever.

"I remember tweeting something about it saying 'silly rumours' because it was getting too much, so I had to say something myself and then I remember the club media messaging me saying 'you shouldn't have done that, you shouldn't have done this' and I'm thinking 'you haven't helped me.'

"I'm here by myself, struggling because people are telling me I've slept with the manager's daughter and that's why you're not playing me.

"The funny thing is, it's carried on for so long I felt like, is the manager not going to come and have a word with me over this?

"That's how I felt and I'm thinking this is ridiculous man. Up to this day I still get people that think that's true and I've never even met his daughter."

Court frees ‘100’ IMN members in detention

Hanatu Gwada, judge of Kaduna state high court, on Friday, discharged and acquitted 100 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN). In a statement on Friday, Ibrahim Musa, IMN spokesman, said the freed members of the group were being prosecuted by the state government in connection with the December 2015 clashes between the group and the Nigerian Army in Zaria. COVID-19: We spend over N15m weekly on health workers, says Bauchi gov

Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi, says the state government spends over N15 million weekly on allowances of health workers and others involved in the fight against COVID-19. Mohammed, who spoke while inaugurating the state’s molecular reference laboratory for COVID-19, said the amount is being spent on allowances for contact tracing, risk management, case management among others. Court dismisses Melaye’s suit against infectious diseases bill

A federal high court in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed by Dino Melaye, former senator representing Kogi west, seeking to stop the infectious diseases control bill. Melaye had filed the suit against Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, and four others seeking the protection of his fundamental rights over the bill. According to Melaye, the bill threatens “the dignity of person, personal liberty, right to private and family life, right to freedom of movement and right to own immovable property in Nigeria”. Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo state, on Thursday met with President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking his intervention in the refund of over N32 billion his predecessors reportedly spent on federal roads in the state.
