There is heavy flooding in some parts of Lagos following a downpour on Thursday.
Flooding has become an annual occurrence in the commercial hub of the country, and residents continue to lament the loss of valuables to the seasonal disaster.
Marina, Lekki and Ajah are some of the areas affected by the flood in the city.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has denied claims that it diverted funds intended for corps members’ February allowance to fight coronavirus. More than 83,774 people have been infected; 2,867 have so far died from the killer virus, with Nigeria having  reported its first case  of the ailment on Friday, after an Italian citizen tested positive in Lagos. In the wake of the outbreak in the country, there were unfounded reports circulating on social media that the government intends to use some parts of allowance meant for corp members to set up preventive measures for their safety. The movie star, with over 50 credits in Nollywood films, disclosed this on her social media page, though she did not provide the context within which the post was made. Fani-Kayode makes Nollywood debut alongside Melaye in ‘Silent Prejudice’

Femi Fani-Kayode,  a former minister of aviation,  has made his acting debut in ‘Silent Prejudice’, a Nollywood movie. The politician  took to his Instagram page  to disclose that he starred in the series alongside Precious Fani-Kayode, his wife, and Dino Melaye, a former senator representing Kogi west. ‘Silent Prejudice’, which is currently being shot in Abuja, is based on the realities associated with the Osu caste system in southeastern Nigeria. Among others who featured on the 13-episode project are Clem Ohameze, Amaechi Muonago, Monalisa Chinda, Chuks Chyke, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Steve Eboh, and Ofiafuluagu Mbaka.
