Ajimobi died of COVID-19 complications in Lagos hospital, says Abayomi
Akin Abayomi, Lagos state commissioner of health, has revealed the cause of death of Abiola Ajimobi, former governor of Oyo state. 
In a tweet on Friday, the commissioner said the former governor died of multiple organ failure following complications from COVID-19 infection on Thursday.
Ajimobi was 70 years.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has denied claims that it diverted funds intended for corps members’ February allowance to fight coronavirus. More than 83,774 people have been infected; 2,867 have so far died from the killer virus, with Nigeria having  reported its first case  of the ailment on Friday, after an Italian citizen tested positive in Lagos. Femi Fani-Kayode,  a former minister of aviation,  has made his acting debut in ‘Silent Prejudice’, a Nollywood movie. The politician  took to his Instagram page  to disclose that he starred in the series alongside Precious Fani-Kayode, his wife, and Dino Melaye, a former senator representing Kogi west. ‘Silent Prejudice’, which is currently being shot in Abuja, is based on the realities associated with the Osu caste system in southeastern Nigeria. Among others who featured on the 13-episode project are Clem Ohameze, Amaechi Muonago, Monalisa Chinda, Chuks Chyke, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Steve Eboh, and Ofiafuluagu Mbaka.
